Mayor of the City of North Battleford

On behalf of the City Council and the City of North Battleford, I'm honoured to welcome everyone to our community. Visitors, business owners, jobseekers, and residents alike will see the many things that North Battleford has to offer -- state-of-the-art recreational amenities, beautiful art galleries, rich cultural programming, diverse community organizations, and a thriving local business community. 

Minutes away from the city are any number of outdoor activities that only add to the reasons to make this region your home -- Saskatchewan's largest ski hill, numerous lakes which are paradise for the summer and winter. 

We are fortunate to have a very active business community in North Battleford, and I invite you to consider why our community is a good choice for people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. Our housing prices are low, we are very close to major international airports, and our location on the rail lines ad major highways makes this community a hub of action and adventure.

The RM of Meota has seen unprecedented growth and development over the past few years. Where our strengths have historically been in agriculture, and more recent developments in oil and gas, we are now seeking an increased focus on tourism, recreation and quality of life, with the lakeshore developments surrounding Jackfish and Murray Lakes. Each of these sectors contributes in multiple ways to the economy of the municipality and the area as a whole. JTEK Developments and Kadon Industries are creating a new and unique opportunity in lake living, recreation, and tourism with the construction of a new RV and Marina Estates development.  This is in addition to the many opportunities already available in our neighbouring communities, parks, and 12 residential hamlet developments. We welcome residents, visitors, and businesses to our community of communities!
